Addictive Shoes at Nardcotix
by Keeley Copperstone
Today I wandered down to a store on a hunt for a great pair of shoes and was given a name to look into from a pal of mine. She said for really wonderful shoes you just have to go see the next big thing by a designer called Nardya Rousselot. Now the name seemed somewhat familiar to me but I do not recall thinking about this designer and associating it with shoes. How very wrong I was. Although the shoe range is a relatively new venture of Nardya she has been a designer in SL for quite sometime. Known for her beautiful textures, Nardya is also a great builder and very smart with system pieces. Her range covers men’s and women’s fashion. You could pick up a casual top or skirt or a more formal piece of clothing. Have a look at two of the items I tried on below.
This is the lovely casual Colleen Mellow outfit with tank shirt and ruffle layered skirt. Available in a variety of colours the Mellow – beige colour, Mellow blush – pink colour, Moody – light blue, Sappy- a light green colour, Sweetie – a light purple colour. These can be combined with a Bolero from the Colleen range in Black, Wine, Navy, Forest or Violet.
I also purchased from her more formal range of clothes upstairs in the range titled ‘Noir’ the Noir No1 outfit. This captured my attention with its low crossover front clasped at the waist with jewel. She had many other glorious gowns I would have loved to have purchased including the two designed for the Miss Virtual World finalists Ella Quinsette and Wenadriena Soderstorm .
How does one describe this designer? To understand that it’s worth seeing how she describes herself “Me? hmm… Well I am pretty insane. I tend to scare people with my crazy escapades. I think it is simple creative expression. I do several things in SL. I design tattoos as well as clothing for both men and women. I am a builder as well. I am EVIL! ”
Nardya has appeared in the BOSL blog as well as appearing on Fabulous Fashion with Angie Mornington. This designer is very talented and I was very impressed with what I had to see so far. I tried on two different colours in one range of her shoes called Ashoka. I really loved them and the others in the various ranges. These are very cool as they are a plaid type of design and I love the ruffle at the front. To see the fantastic range of shoes one must visit the store.
The other shoe style I tried on was ‘Kurvy T-Strap MJ Blue’ a very simple but lovely shoe with a luxurious colour and a simple but effective T strap in black with bow to the front.
I must simply say a big thumbs up to Nardya Rousselot and the Nardcotix designs such wonderful shoes and clothes. I shall be visiting many more times in the future.
